She heard her name being called and she quickly wiped the tears from her face. At first she couldn’t place the voice and then it’s owner sat down next to her and she glanced over. “Nott, twice in one week? This ought to be some sort of record or something.” she forced herself to smile before she…
She laughed softly as her eyes filled with tears again, “No, of course not.” It was when people asked if something was wrong or asked if you had been doing the obvious when you started crying again. As much as she tried to lie, she wasn’t believable. She shook her head, “Merlin, OWLs are so stressful.” she said as she wiped her face again, those stubborn tears would not stop falling.
The bruise wasn’t going anywhere. Anton wasn’t going anywhere. And Lily didn’t have anywhere to go. She was stuck. She had no one to help her, no one to care for her. She couldn’t help but cry whenever her mind wasn’t working on something.
Currently, she was trying to preoccupy…
She heard her name being called and she quickly wiped the tears from her face. At first she couldn’t place the voice and then it’s owner sat down next to her and she glanced over. “Nott, twice in one week? This ought to be some sort of record or something.” she forced herself to smile before she looked back at her book. What were the bloody odds of Nathaniel Nott being in the library right now? He was never in the library when she was and he was never really around, ever.
The bruise wasn’t going anywhere. Anton wasn’t going anywhere. And Lily didn’t have anywhere to go. She was stuck. She had no one to help her, no one to care for her. She couldn’t help but cry whenever her mind wasn’t working on something.
Currently, she was trying to preoccupy her mind by studying for her OWLs. She had been studying for awhile and her brain couldn’t take much more of that. She looked up and found that she was only a few rows away from the hidden alcove she and Luke had shared their first time together. Before she could stop herself, the tears were falling form her eyes. She’d messed up the best thing in her life and now she was paying for it. She deserved it, didn’t she? According to life, she did.
What was she supposed to do? She couldn’t tell anyone, she knew others would tell her that she was doing this to herself. She was emotionally unstable and she needed someone to stabilize her.
Oh but of course Nathaniel. It’s the part of my life I’m looking forward to the most.
How depressing, dear. So, how are you?
It is rather depressing since no one’s been able to change my mind. Pity.
I’m doing well enough. And yourself? I haven’t seen you around much lately. Being elusive?

Are you lot still around?
I’ve seen the Bloody Baron and Nearly Headless Nick more times in the past two hours than I’ve seen any of you.
Should I just opt to getting a cat to befriend?
Jumping straight to the cat-lady part of your future then, Lily?
Oh but of course Nathaniel. It’s the part of my life I’m looking forward to the most.

GRRRR. My inner Luke wants to finish off that piece of shit.
haha, sorry to anger that inner luke. i feel like lily’s never been in any sort of dark-ish drama, so i decided to put her in some. plus Shalla helped me get into the mood with all her postings on Cam. haha
She was in the wrong. Well… Maybe she wasn’t, but he had sure made her feel like it. All she did was hug her long time friend, Matthew Longbottom. One of Anton’s associates probably had exaggerated the story. When Lily went to Durmstrang to visit Anton, he hadn’t been very happy with her.
———
The redhead landed in the large school and Anton hadn’t been there to greet her like he normally was. Instead, two of his friends were there to collect her. The smile on her face faltered as she approached them, “Where’s Anton?”
“He’s asked us to take you to him.” was all one of them said. Lily couldn’t really do much, so she followed them. As she walked down the dimly lit corridors, she couldn’t help but have mixed emotions. She wanted to believe that a surprise was planned for her, but because of the very dark atmosphere of the school, it was hard to feel anything but fright.
As they approached his room, Anton’s two friends knocked on the door and after a few moments, they opened it and pushed her into the room. He was sitting in a chair in his room with his back turned to her. Lily smiled at him and sat on his lap, but he was cold and didn’t greet her with his usual smile.
“Anton? What’s the matter?” Lily questioned. Anton said nothing. Instead, he finally looked at her and pushed her off of his lap.
“Why did you do it? I’ve done nothing but be good to you, I’ve done nothing but love you.” Anton said as he stood up.
“I didn’t do anything.” Lily replied as she moved away from him, “I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about.”
“I know you’re an adulterer Lily Potter, but I was willing to look past it. You said you’d never do it again and I bloody believed you.” he bellowed.
“I never cheated on you Anton. Never. What the hell are you talking about.” He was quicker than lightning, he walked over to her and crouched down to look her in the eye. Lily had never been more scared in her life. She wasn’t sure what he was going to do, but he had this unnerving glint in his eye.
“Don’t. Lie. To. Me. I’m not stupid. You’ve been seeing someone else. That’s why you haven’t written back to me as quickly. That’s why someone spotted you hanging all over Matthew Longbottom.”
“Anton,” Lily let out a nervous laugh, “No, he’s just a-” She wasn’t able to finish her explanation. He was lightning fast once again. This time, his hand reared back and came across her face.
“DON’T LIE TO ME.” he raised his voice and his hand once more, striking her again. The stinging sensation on her face drew tears from her eyes and another, warmer liquid into her mouth. He looked at her, scared and cowering away from him and that weird glint disappeared. “I’m sorry Lily.” he said softly as he picked her up and carried her over to his bed where he laid, cuddling her against him. “You made me do it. If you would just stop conversing with other men, I wouldn’t have to do it.” he ran his fingers through her hair and kissed the top of her head.
They laid there together for some time. He kept reassuring her that as long as she would be faithful to him, it would no longer happen. At the end of their visit, he escorted her out. “I didn’t want to do it, but you made me. Keep that there so you can have a reminder not to trollop around. Maybe it’ll even keep other men away from you.” he chuckled and smiled at her.
She gave him a soft smile in return, “I’m sorry Anton. It won’t happen again.” he kissed her before sending her off to Hogwarts.

Lily looked at her reflection and traced her fingers over the bruise in the shape of his hand. She sighed to herself. She used to be so strong, she would have never accepted the abuse. She didn’t have her wand with her that day because she thought she could trust Anton. It was obvious that she couldn’t. She couldn’t have fought him off. He was at least twice her size since she was rather petite anyway. She shook her head and decided it was time to head to her next class. She took in a deep breath so she could prepare to face another round of stares and “what’s happened to you” questions. She really wanted to run into a certain someone, but of course that would mean more harm from Anton… But maybe that certain someone could take care of Anton for her.. A girl could only hope.
